Course Description Course Resources

H750 is a guided tour for graduate students in U.S. history and adjacent disciplines through the process of proposing, researching, writing, revising, and presenting an original article-length essay.  The course will begin with a focus on the academic article as a genre, best practice articles in your field, and writing methods.  Toward developing a research and writing community this semester, there will be individual consultations, peer review workshops, and a mock conference.  The heart of the course will be the production of research paper based on archival research and historiographical engagement.
