Response sheet #23, for class, Tuesday | |
This week we will examine some short documents in class so that you can concentrate on your writing assignment. The structure of this paper should be rather obvious, once broken down into a logic problem. Choose one of the two following templates, depending on your thesis, and provide a rough outline for sections b, c, and d of your paper: 1a. Introductory paragaph your thesis is “more transformative.” 2a. Introductory paragaph your thesis is “less transformative.” You should break down any problem into its underlying logic, and then organize an outline ... and then fill in that outline with evidence ... and then refine your working hypothesis into a clear thesis. As a final step, you can check your thesis statement in the introductory paragraph, and your topic and concluding sentences for each body paragraph, to make sure that your argument is clearly stated and clearly organized. |
